NSA Boston Hosts Its First Successful Executive Social
In collaboration with Ashish Shrestha, NSA Boston hosted its very first Executive Social, drawing nearly 70 high-achieving professionals from across industries — and marking a significant milestone in our community-building journey.
But it wasn’t just the number that made this event special — it was who showed up.
From early-career professionals to seasoned executives, the room was filled with Nepali talent working at some of the most influential organizations in the Boston area and beyond — including:
Harvard, MIT, McKinsey, Amazon, Biogen, Broad Institute, Deloitte, Novartis, Vertex, DOJ/ATF, Insulet, Charles Schwab, Ernst & Young, Vistaprint, Thermo Fisher, Paytronix, Klaviyo, The Hackett Group, Alexion/AstraZeneca, CNH Industrial, HealthEdge — and many more.
Attendees included C-suite executives, Directors, Principal Engineers, Senior Scientists, Consultants, Founders, Restaurateurs, VCs, and other accomplished professionals who don’t often find themselves in the same room — let alone around the same table.
One guest, Prafulla Aryal, a Sr. Scientist, shared his experience:
“Thanks for organizing the executive social yesterday. It was wonderful seeing so many Nepalese professionals in one room.”
“My family moved to Boston 6 years ago. We hardly know any Nepalese people besides family. People our age (GenX, millennials) are so busy working and raising kids, that there is hardly any time left in the day. Plus scientists and engineers are mostly introverts, so it's hard to break the ice. Thanks for sending out the list ahead of time, promptly starting, and having formal networking (going around in a circle) event.”
“I got to reach out beforehand, network, and build relationships with several people in the biotech sector. Prabin also enjoyed the event. The food was excellent too.”
His words reflect the very purpose of this gathering — to make connection easier, and to remind each other that even in a busy, high-performing city like Boston, we’re not alone.
This Executive Social is just the beginning. NSA Boston is committed to continuing to build meaningful spaces that bring the Nepali professional community together — across industries, life stages, and schools of thought.
We’re deeply grateful to everyone who showed up, shared their energy, and helped make history.
More to come.
